"Starting a petition isn’t something I would normally do, but I was moved to do so because regulators put the health and safety of the residents of Cyclone at risk . I know I’m not alone and together we can make this change happen. Please sign and share!"

On November 29, 2023 people from all over PA reminded Governor Shapiro of Article 1 Section 27 of the PA constitution (detailed on the left) by calling the governor's office and reading it , X or Tweeting and sending it on Instagram.

ARTICLE 1, SECTION 27 CALL-IN DAY
CALL/TEXT GOVERNOR SHAPIRO
Toolkit

Governor Shapiro’s recent deal with CNX is just the latest indication that he needs to be reminded that we have a constitutional right to a healthy environment in Pennsylvania! On November 29, we’re asking everyone to help us remind him by calling his office and reading the amendment.

He’s been boasting that there’s ‘no wrong door’ to government officials (except when we get there and the door is closed with an armed Capitol Police officer in front of it). To prove how accessible he is, he’s started advertising a text number you can use to message him. We’ll take advantage of that too!

And we’ll be posting to his Twitter/X and Instagram accounts that day, as well.

So here’s how we plan to make sure his phone is ringing all day. We’re asking people to commit to calling during a specific hour between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. We invite you to make calls or send texts at other times that day or to participate more than once during the day. The more the merrier!! BUT we want to make sure we have lots of people signed up for each hour.

We need to continue to pressure our elected officials to do the jobs they were elected to do!

Here’s what you need to know to participate -

Article 1, Section 27 - Natural resources and the public estate.

The people have a right to clean air, pure water, and to the preservation of the natural, scenic, historic and esthetic values of the environment. Pennsylvania's public natural resources are the common property of all the people, including generations yet to come. As trustee of these resources, the Commonwealth shall conserve and maintain them for the benefit of all the people.
